GRAND CANYON WALKING TOUR by Grand AdventuresWe give our guests fully-guided walking tour to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We cap the group sizes to 10 people or less so that we maintain an intimate relationship with our guests. We will walk along the rim trail where you'lll be able to find your own vantage points away from large tourist crowds to take pictures of the Grand Canyon. This trip includes:+ 4-5 Hour Guided Tour+ McDonald's Breakfast in Boulder+ Picnic Lunch on the Rim (REAL Picnic!)+ Complimentary Pickup & Dropoff Service
Typical Day
We pick our guests up between 6-6:30am before stopping at McDonald's in Boulder for breakfast. Breakfast is included in the tour and you can eat whatever you like! We'll leave Boulder around 7:30 and make our way over Hoover Dam (We will stop at the Lake Mead Overlook time permitting). Hoover Dam is a sight for the ages so we will take some good pictures. Our next part of the journey takes us through the Arizona desert and high into the Colorado Plateau! The scenery will change dramatically as we make our way to the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is at 7,000 feet and you'll notice a long, steady climb to the plateau. We will arrive at the South Rim between 11:30 & 12:00. We'll get right onto the trail, take some great pictures, and stop somewhere along the way for a picnic lunch. We'll return to Grand Canyon Village by shuttle at 4:00 and leave the park by 5:00. We'll be back in Vegas by 9:00.
Age range, type of group
This trip is great for families and all age groups without walking restrictions. We recommend that children be at least 9 years old before visiting the Grand Canyon. They have a tendency to dart towards the edge and that can make our hearts leap!
Policies & Restrictions
No pets, large luggage, or gigantic backpacks. We will stop for smoke breaks along the way.
Other Information
We travel in 15 passenger vans BUT we do not put more than 10 people in the van. It's very comfortable and offers a lot of room for our guests. We use these vans because it enables us to travel much faster than the larger vans and/or mini buses.
