The Iris Inn is a purpose-built Virginia bed and breakfast. Each building was placed on the property with care to afford you the best view from each room of the beautiful mountain terrain that surrounds the inn on all sides.

It's as if you have your own, personal overlook just outside your room. A third-story tower offers a hammock or a two-person lounger, where you can relax and gaze out at the very best views.

You will not find a re-purposed, cramped room anywhere at the Iris Inn. Instead, each room, cottage, and cabin was designed with you in mind. Spacious, quiet, and roomy, with lots of windows and doors that lead to expansive outdoor decks.

Air conditioning and heat are controlled by you and are specific to your room. Each room has a king bed, Wi-Fi, flat-screen HD TVs, DVD players, refrigerators, writing desks, private baths with hair dryers, and comfortable sitting areas.

What is more enjoyable on a beautiful day than a picnic by the lake or at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway? Your Iris Inn insulated backpack will include turkey and provolone cheese or ham and Swiss cheese sandwiches or wraps. We dress your sandwich just the way you like it. At check in, we will give you an order form that lets us make your lunch with your choice of condiments, lettuce and tomato, onions and peppers. Also included: a fresh vegetable side, home-baked dessert, fresh fruit, bottled water, and serving gear. 24-hour notice is appreciated.

Reservations

Cash, business checks, and all major credit cards are accepted.
Full payment in advance required for all reservations.

Cancellation

Reservations can be cancelled or changed seven days prior to check in. A refund, minus a $50.00 cancellation fee, will be credited to the card used for the reservation.
Reservations cancelled with less than seven days' notice will receive a refund, minus a $50.00 cancellation fee, if all nights can be re-booked. Any nights not re-booked are not refunded. All cancellations must be received by telephone to be valid.
Reservations made with a Third Party Gift Card or Certificate will be refunded in the form of an Iris Inn & Cabins Gift Certificate. It is not possible to refund a Third Party Gift Card, and there are no cash refunds.

Check In/Check Out

Check-in is: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. We will do our best to accommodate later check-in times if requested.
Check out by 11:00 AM.

General

The Iris Inn property is completely smoke-free. This includes vaping.
Dogs are welcome in the Deep Woods Cottage and the Garden Path Cottage. Pet fees are $30.00/day/pet. All other rooms, cottage and cabins are pet free.
Children over the age of 10 are welcome in the inn or cottages. Cabins are for adult couples only.
