For nearly 75 years, Mountain Sky has offered guests Montana's majestic natural setting and a chance to reconnect with the land - and each other. Morning: Sip on a hot cup of coffee accompanied by one of Pam's fresh baked muffins, gaze at a dramatic Montana sunrise, enjoy a crisp morning hike, energize your body with a yoga session, or watch the wranglers herd the horses down the mountainside. After a bountiful breakfast buffet, ride on horseback through acres of flower-filled meadows or stroll along beautiful Big Creek.

Afternoon: The afternoon could be adventuresome, hiking miles of trails, rafting down the Yellowstone River, exploring the wonders of Yellowstone Park, or trying your hand at mountain stream fishing. Wrap up your afternoon activities with a restorative yoga session with Brad. For a more relaxing day, soak up the sunshine and view of Emigrant's peak by the pool, or take time for a soothing massage.

Evening: Enjoy a dinner ride barbecue of steaks, chicken or seafood, or savor a delicious gourmet dinner that offers the finest in continental cuisine. Learn Western dances with the wranglers, or sing your favorite western songs on a hayride or around the campfire. Top off the evening with a nightcap in the cozy lounge, curl up with a good book next to a stone fireplace, experience the tranquility of the night sounds of the outdoors, or unwind with a late-night soak in the hot tub.

What about the kids? From morning until bedtime, your children are free to roam. For the little ones, and any who choose to participate, our staff has a variety of activities planned to entertain and delight children of all ages - horseback rides, games in our heated swimming pool, fishing in the ranch pond, participating in arts and crafts, taking nature walks, and many more crazy and wild antics cooked up by our creative staff. Our well-trained counselors supervise your children's activities so you are free to enjoy yours.

Mountain Sky offers 30 guest units, nestled in the pines, which can accommodate up to 80 guests. Refurbished rustic one, two and three-bedroom cabins date back to 1929, when this authentic working ranch first opened its doors to guests. Many cabins feature a fireplace, large picture windows or porches to fully capture the breathtaking mountain views. All of the cabins include coffee and tea service, a small refrigerator, and fresh fruit delivered daily.

For an unforgettable dining experience, just leave your meals to our gourmet chefs. You will soon discover that Mountain Sky meals are one of the most memorable parts of your stay at the ranch.

Start your day off right ... Buffet-style breakfasts offer a wide variety of choices - from freshly baked pastries and muffins, to fresh fruits to yogurt or homemade granola. You can also enjoy more traditional favorites, such as made-to-order omelets, sweet Montana huckleberry pancakes, or eggs Benedict.

Recharge midday... Lunches on the ranch are casual, delicious meals served buffet-style outdoors, and always include a variety of green and pasta salads, homemade soups, fresh berries, melons and cheeses. Our chefs also prepare a selection of tempting regional dishes, ranging from Mexican enchiladas to Chinese stir-fry to Italian pizza. Sweet tooth? Our homemade cookies are baked fresh every day!

Last but definitely not least... After a day filled with horseback riding, hiking or fishing, we want your evening meal to be equally memorable. Enjoy the warmth of our Mountain View Lounge, where we provide a complement of hors d'oeuvres before dinner.
