Pakistan is one of the ancient lands known to man .Indus civilisation was at its peak in southern Pakistan some 5000 years ago , and excavation at Moenjodaro , Harappa etc. speaks of a highly develop society . In the Northern Pakistan Buddhist Stuppas Monastries and temples of Taxilla , Takht-e-bahi ,Swat and Peshawar recall the great classical traditions of Gandhara Art, Architecture and Sculpture.
Karakorum Highway (Old Silk Road 18 to 22 Days) :
Discover the rugged beauty and friendly people of Pakistan's karakorum highway, which follow ancient silk road /route . The karakorum Highway starts from hasanabdal , north west of Islamabad ,then runs parallel along the Indus River and it follow the ancient silk Road . The KKH passes through several old market towns before it slices into the mountainous interior . From the Hunza Stretch , the bare and rocky mountain terrain slips in to a delightful mantle of snow - capped peaks encircling a labyrinth of quaint villages . The Karakorum Highway follows the old ancient Silk Route , which caravans used for business and other purposes . Etchings of images of Buddha , ancient inscriptions and hunting scenes of ibex on giant rocks indicate its rich cultural past .

HUNZA / KALASH CULTURAL ENCOUNTER (20 to 25 Days):
The Hunzas are famed for their longevity , some said to be over 100 years as a result of a healthy diet of vegetables and fruits , particularly apricots ,and a physical active lifestyle that involve field work and walking . The friendliness of Hunza people is something visitors will remember . The Chinese influence seen in bridges carved with lanterns and double happiness symbols over river crossing .
KARAKORUM HIGHWAY MOUNTAIN BIKE (15 to 22 Days) :
The Pakistan side Karakorum Highway starts from the Khunjerab Pass (above 16000 feet from the sea level ) . After the opening of the karakorum Highway , the Khunjerab pass is opened for the first time in 1978 and this pass is a link between Islamabad and Kasghar . It is unforgettable experience to travel by silk route up to this pass , passing through the largest glaciers of Batura , Passu , Minapin and one can see some of the beautiful 7000 to 8000 meters peaks such as Nanga Parbat (8126 meters ) Rakaposhi ( 7788 meters ) , ultar 1 ( 7388 meters ), Diran Peak (7257 meters ) , Batura peak , Passu Peak and Shisper peak etc. . The superb beauty of the landscapes enthral and enchants the visitors . The pleasant experience one gets by travelling to Khunjerab pass on the Karakorum Hihgway is the reward of the long and tiring journey .
