Campgrounds/RV Parks Owner
If you’ve been traveling awhile and feel that all campgrounds look alike, Montana Creek Campground will offer a refreshing change of pace: annual and perennial displays of wildflowers, various berries tucked between birch and spruce trees, view bald eagles fishing for salmon and trout from creekside, grouse and ptarmigan fluttering past, and not to leave out the occasional moose or nosey black and brown bears meandering nearby. Venture onto one of many walking trails lining the creek leading to the mouth at the Susitna River or up into the mountains. Portions of the campground are carpeted with lawn while others are beautifully forested, leaving privacy between many of the sites. Several sites are equipped with electric hook-ups; we have small, large and pull-through sites to accommodate our tent and RV campers. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring and BBQ grill. The tackle cache and store on the premises sells fishing gear, tackle and licenses, and rental equipment for fishing when available; and you’ll also find snacks for your backpack, groceries, ice, firewood, and souvenirs. The campground is located near many activities that the Susitna Valley is known for: flight seeing Mt. McKinley, river boating, rafting, dog mushing, and visiting the historical gold-mining town of Talkeetna. The campground is located within three miles of showers, a restaurant, churches, fuel, mechanical parts, and repairs. Montana Creek Campground also has a reputation for cleanliness and friendliness.
