When it comes to traveling the world, knowing the best time to visit a country is essential for having a fantastic adventure and avoiding horrible weather. The last thing you’ll want is to arrive during hurricane or monsoon season or when it’s really rainy or cold and be stuck inside throughout the entire vacation.

Montreal, Quebec

The best weather for Montreal is mid-May through mid-June. This city is humid and muggy during the summer (mid-June to mid-September) but is comfortable in late spring. You will also find better prices in March, April, October and November.

Caribbean

March and April are beautiful months to visit the Caribbean when you’ll find beach weather without it getting too hot. If you’re looking for deals, though, you’ll want to wait until the end of April through June. While this is considered the shoulder season, the weather is still beautiful and the crowds are fewer. Sometimes you can find great deals in the fall too, but you risk dealing with weather problems with hurricane season lasting from August to November. Consider taking a luxury cruise vacation during this time so you can see more than one island in the Caribbean.

Northern Australia

If you’re looking to head to northern Australia, the best time is during Australia’s winter months of June, July and August. During this time, temperatures range from 66 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit and it rarely rains.

Wales

Summer is a great time to visit Wales. In Cardiff, you can kayak, raft, and go windsurfing. In August, there’s the Cardiff Harbour Festival, the Grand Medieval Melee held at Cardiff Castle or head to the National Museum in Cardiff, which is free.

Italy

Fall is a great time plan a vacation to Italy. While the days are still warm, you’ll find the crowds have thinned. The best time is late September through the end of October. You’ll also find better deals during this time.

Morocco

Just as with Italy, fall is the best time to visit Morocco because the weather is comfortable and the crowds are few. This is especially true if you want to tour the cities, such as Marrakech, which are quite hot during the summer. However, the beaches are cooler and the water warmer during the summer months, so when you visit will partially depend on what you plan to do while you’re there.

Southern Australia (New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria and parts of Western Australia)

While you’ll want to avoid Australia from December 26 through the end of January because this is when Australians have their summer vacation, the best time to hit southern Australia is during winter (Australia’s summer) when the temperatures are nice and comfortable.

Acapulco, Mexico

For an escape from the cold, winter is the best time to head to Mexico. While the weather is warm all year round, this is Mexico’s dry season and allows you to avoid the hurricane season, which lasts from June to November.

Serre Chevalier, France

If you’re looking for a ski vacation with your family, winter is the best time to head to France for some skiing and fun. Because it’s a budget resort and is less crowded, it’s a great option for saving money too.
