Gunflint Lodge is nested in a pine and birch forest in northern Minnesota adjacent to the famed Boundary Waters Wilderness. The lodge is on Gunflint Lake, a Canadian border lake, one of a myriad of deep clear water lakes in the area. Guests frequently see moose, deer, fox, and eagles as they drive to the resort along the Gunflint Trail.
Deluxe lake homes and cottages vary in size from 1 to 4 bedroom, and have 1-4 bathrooms, all king or queen sized beds, rock fireplaces, full kitchens, private sauna, hot tub, and many with washer and dryer. Guests feed the deer and birds right at their picture window.
Dogs are VERY welcome. Family clientel, couples, riders, and fishermen. Most in their 30's to 60's who enjoy the outdoors, the fresh smells of pine in the air and the country lifestyle.
