River Riders has rafting of all skill levels. In Harpers Ferry, the trips are beginner to intermediate level on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. Rapids are class I-III, beginner to intermediate level, and are great for families and adventurers alike. Half day trips pass the Harpers Ferry National Park. Guided kayaks accompany the rafts for the more adventurous guest.
We also run more advanced level rafting trips on the New, Gauley, and Upper Yough.
Tubing is a popular activity that doesn't require any experience. Several thousand people travel to Harpers Ferry every summer to enjoy the 75 to 80 degree waters of the Potomac River. The trip has continuous small rapids and passes through 3 National Parks- C&O Canal, Harpers Ferry, and Appalachian Trail. The adventure is an unforgettable relaxing day trip from the DC and Baltimore Metro areas.
We have scenic flat water canoeing and kayaking tours that range from 2 hours to half day, whole day, and overnight trips.
ACA certified kayak instruction is taught by experienced professional instructors. Beginner to advanced level intstruction is available.
Bike rentals and shuttles available for the 185 mile long C&O Canal National Historical Park. Originally surveyed by George Washington, this scenic trail runs along the Potomac River from Cumberland, Maryland to Washington, DC and travels through some of the most historic places in our country, an unforgettable adventure.
Full day guided fishing trips are available on the Shenandoah River. Anglers world wide fish for Smallmouth Bass on these waters. Frank Baker has 20 years of experience taking our guests to the best spots to real in the "big one."

Beginner rafting trips start at age 8. More advanced trips have minimum age ranges from 12 - 18. Tubing is 8. Kayak instruction is 12.

There are local accomodations including hotels, restaurants and campgrounds in Harpers Ferry. Most of our trips include a meal option.
