Surrounding Area
Tucked in among towering redwoods, just minutes from the Wine Country, Pacific Coast, and Russian River, there's a place where time stands still: a Victorian
bed and breakfast country
inn providing lodging with the perfect mix of comfort, charm, and elegance. Completely restored by innkeeper Jack Bullard and furnished with antiques, family heirlooms and original artwork, The Inn offers guests a choice of sixteen bedrooms with private baths, fireplaces, and spa tubs. Afternoon refreshments are served, as are complimentary Sonoma County wine and hors d'oeuvres in the early evening and a memorable, full gourmet breakfast. The Inn at Occidental is also the perfect location for meetings and glorious wine country weddings. You may not know of it; but once you find it, you will always remember it.
Accommodations
Guests enjoy the finest of accommodations, antiques, decor, and a welcome that extends the length of the veranda. Nestled in the heart of Sonoma County is the valley and town of Occidental, a historical stopping point on the railroad between San Francisco and the Northwest. On the hillside, just above the village, a homestead was built in 1877, subsequently becoming the location of the Occidental Water Bottling Company. Now this site provides the setting for The Inn at Occidental. This Victorian, restored in 1988 with fir floors, wainscotted hallways and covered porches, includes architectural details blending the old and the new to offer the most elegant appointments of an outstanding wine country inn. Conveniently located just minutes from the rugged Pacific Coast, the charming Russian River and the Sonoma wine country, The Inn at Occidental offers luxury lodging to visitors who travel to Northern California.
