Our basement bar The Velvet Underground is where all the action happens from Tuesdays â€" Saturdays with crazy cheap drink specials including Happy Hour until 8pm every night! Great DJâ€Â™s get the dance floor pumping and a huge range of events like full moon parties, karaoke, theme parties and even crab racing, will keep you entertained! To get you energized for your exploring, the chefs at our licensed café serve up delicious food 7 days a week including all day breakfast and some of the best pizzas in town! We keep our prices low with $5 daily specials and some great drink specials to top of off!
Need some cash? The team at our very own recruitment agency Discovery Jobs will find you short to long term work in a number of industries. We also offer assistance with tax and superannuation and hold onsite training courses such as RSA, White Card and interview and resume skills. Discovery Melbourne is a large city property with many accommodation options available. We are perfect for the budget traveller who is looking for basic accommodation that is clean, safe, affordable and fun! You are guaranteed to meet lots of people whilst taking part in our daily events & parties!
For travelers looking to share accommodation we have 4, 6 & 8 share dorms and also 10 - 16 share dorms for those looking for an even cheaper option. For those wanting some privacy we also have basic private double, twin & family rooms. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities, heating and linen.
To ensure you a hassle free and safe stay all floors and rooms have swipe card access, we have 24 hour reception & overnight security staff, CCTV and strict ID polices.
The Nunnery can be found on main tram route Number 96 (stop 13), which travels from St.Kilda to East Brunswick.
From Spenser Street Station:
Travel towards East Brunswick, going up Bourke Street to continue up Nicholson Street directly to the Nunnery.
From the airport:
The Starbus located at Qantas domestic can deliver you to our door stop.
