Nothing can compare with see whales in the wild - in the own habitat. There are 86 resident orca whales around San Juan Island, WA.
San Juan Safaris is well-known for its reputation for strictly adhering to the 'whale watching Guidelines' and for respectful wildlife viewing ethics. The owner has been in the wildlife viewing business for 20+ years!
Typical Day
The tour board 20 minutes prior to departure. The duration of the tour is approximately 3 hours.
The guides talk about the entire eco-system, not just the whales. You will learn some geography of the area as well as whale information, salmon, other marine mammals, sea birds and more.
On a typical tour guests see Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals, Dolphin, Sea Lion, Sea Birds fishing, and an amazing variety of beatiful island coast lines.
Age range, type of group
New born and kids of ALL ages are welcome aboard our tours. You will love whale watching and viewing all types of marine mammals, birds and scenery. This is a great experience for families to interact with each other and independent travelers to explore.

Sleeping and meals
There are 50 lodging facilities on San Juan Island. Inns, Bed and Breakfasts, hotels and motels plus camping. We have numerous gourmet-style restaurants, pizza places, burger restaurants and latte booths scattered all over Friday Harbor and San Juan Island.
Policies & Restrictions
No age restrictions. No smoking or alcohol allowed on the boat. Not handicap accessible, however if a person can take two steps up onto the boat, they can be pre-board them. The bathroom is down four stairs. There is a railing on that stair case.
Rates
Prices are $79 adult and $52 child 2 - 12. Under 2 are Free. Prices may change due to fuel surcharge. Tax and Tip and not included.
