Hostel rooms are mostly “quads”, meaning two sets of bunk beds (4 beds per room). Larger (less expensive) dorms are also available with 6, 8 or 10 beds. Experience our newly renovated deluxe private rooms, each one reflecting a different theme and including custom decor and one luxury double bed.

Policies & Restrictions
Inside, The Village is a smoke-free environment. However, smokers can enjoy our stunning outdoor patio. Cats or dogs in carry cases to be kept in rooms are welcome.
Other Information
Security is important for travellers and Global Village Backpackers has made every effort to provide a safe environment for backpackers. Hostel security includes an
electronic swipe card system so that only registered guests can access rooms. In addition, 24-hour staff and a video surveillance system keep an eye on things. Toronto’s largest backpackers youth hostel is also fully equipped with the latest fire safety system.

We're at 460 King Street West (NW corner of King & Spadina)
From Pearson International airport: the Pacific Western Airport Express shuttle will bring you one block from our front door for $15.95 CAD one way. Get off at the Holiday Inn on King and walk one block west (one traffic light). OR: Take the TTC (local transit) $2.75 - exact change required – takes about 1.5 hrs OR: Take a taxi – ask for a flat rate ($35-$45)
From the bus station: we are a 20-25 minute walk SW. OR: Take the Dundas streetcar ($2.75) west to Spadina and transfer to the Spadina streetcar heading south. Get off at King Street.
From Union Station (Rail): we are a 15 minute walk NW. OR: Take the Spadina streetcar ($2.75) from Union's subway station. Get off at King Street.
By car: From the east> take Hwy. 401 WEST toward Toronto, exit Don Valley Parkway (DVP) SOUTH, take Gardiner Expressway WEST at the bottom of the DVP, exit Spadina Ave, travel NORTH 3 sets of lights to King St. W.
From the west> take Hwy. QEW EAST toward Toronto, it becomes Gardiner Expressway, exit Spadina Ave, travel NORTH 3 sets of lights to King St. W.
