Overlooking the serene waters of the Erakor Lagoon, Holiday Inn Resort is set in vibrant natural surroundings . Meaning "the land that always existed," Vanuatu is made up of 83 tropical islands located northeast of New Caledonia . Immersed in cultural richness and native splendour, the islands hold crystal blue beaches, exotic rainforests, and stunning waterfalls that are some of the most beautiful in the world . From Friday 1st April 2011, we are part way through a multi-million dollar refurbishment of Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu . The hotel will operate with 64 guest rooms . Facilities open include our quiet zone pool, sports hut with sea kayaks and canoes as well as the Palms Casino . Our Restaurant is open and situated in the lobby . Under refurbishment is the resort pool, new restaurant, kids club and one hotel wing . We are just about to comence refurbishment of the lobby and reception . We are able to minimise the impact of the refurbishment from a guest perspective due to the design of the resort, which allows us to close one wing at a time . Work will only be conducted between the hours of 9am and 5 pm Monday to Friday, with limited noise . This means you will be able to continue to enjoy our lagoon side location, water based activities, golf and day spaand Port Vila and surrounding areas still have plenty to offer such as diving cruises, shopping, parasailing, tours around the island, fishing and many more .
