I loved Alaska so much I want to share the experience with others. Well here I am now, living my dream, building a log cabin deep in the woods off the beaten path. I don't hear the sounds of cars and have the view of a lifetime. We are only minutes away from Cook Inlet where the halibut are abundant and even closer to world renown salmon fishing streams and rivers. The Anchor River, Ninilchik River, and Deep Creek are just a few miles away. About an hour drive north runs the famous Kenai River where the worlds largest king salmon are caught.Homer, Alaska - Halibut Capitol of the world, is just twenty-five minutes to the south. Halibut season starts late April to early May and runs through AugustIf its clam digging you like, there are great opportunities on the nearby beaches.
