Haus Susanne is situated in the town of Radstadt, just a 40min drive from Salzburg City Centre or a beautiful train journey through the Alpine valleys. Haus Susanne is 70km from Salzburg and is set within the heart of Salzburger Land.

Whether you are looking for summer or winter accommodation, Haus Susanne is in the ideal location offering easy access to Austria's largest ski area or the vast mountain ranges of the Salzgammergut.

Haus Susanne is owned and run by Ben and Angela Turner.
The family moved from Whitstable, England to take residence in Austria and promise to provide you with a memorable holiday in the Salzburg mountain ranges.

The guest house offers double/family rooms all with ensuite facilities plus a small bunk room for the children.
The pension can easily accommodate parties of up to 10 adults and a further 6 children (0-15).
Rooms can be booked on either a bed and breakfast basis or during our premiums seasons, the whole guest house can be hired for a half board catered package.

Families are always welcome and we can easily accommodate children all year round.
We have a lovely garden with plenty of toys to keep the little-ones happy during the summer months

Radstadt is in the heart of the Skialliance Amadé offering easy access to Austria's most extensive ski-pass. 860km of ski-piste with 270 lifts easily accessible by using the free ski-bus network.
How can you not have an austrian-adventure?
Pistes are well planned and offer great skiing for learners and beginners to the well seasoned.
As Radstadt is situated in the heart of the Skialliance Amadé network it is easy to travel around the valleys either by snow or by the free and comprehensive ski bus network.
We can help you arrange Ski-hire(select Altenmarkt), lessons at Radstadt's ski-school, and ski-passes.

Haus Susanne is just a 40min drive from Salzburg City Centre. Salzburg is famous for its Mozart connections but there is much more on offer. From the Prince Archbishop's trick water fountains, to Salzburg Zoo to a Sound of Music tour, people of all ages can enjoy the city. The castle fort and cable car ride give excellent view points over the city. In the evening there are plenty of restaurants and classical or modern concerts to enjoy.

Mountain biking is an especially popular sport around the valleys and mountains of Salzburg. Summer lifts can take you and your bike to the top of a mountain to either take the sensible route down or to follow the downhill circuits used by the World Cup circuit. The area is also famed for its road cycling routes as Salzburg also held the World Championships in 2006. Cycles can be hired locally along with cycle tours for intermediate level and above.

The Adventure Centre Flachau offer fully guided and qualified instruction in all kinds of mountain adrenaline pumped activities. The centre is for people of all ages and offers family activities or singular activities. ACF offer (among many other things) white water rafting, pot-holing, canyoning, hiking tours, paragliding and quad biking.

Did you know that Austria's 140 golf courses are of the highest international calibre? Wherever you choose to stay, you can expect to find the highest standards in golf course management, restaurant catering and luxurious comfort. But above all, experience the warm Austrian hospitality. The Alpine golf card is available to purchase. This includes reduced green fees for any of the courses within Salzburgerland and a little beyond! Radstadt has it's own short and full course which boasts its own cable car to take you to an elevated tee.

There are plenty of places to get wet! In and around Salzburgerland there are fantastic family and adventure pools and health centres. Flume tubes, slides, indoor and outdoor pools are all standard. If you fancy a dip in a lake then take a tour of the lakes surrounding Salzburg. Diving lakes and sailing courses are just some of the sports available.

Getting to Radstadt and Haus Susanne is easy no matter how you travel!

By plane:
Salzburg's Mozart Airport is the closest to Radstadt. From here it is only a short 45min journey by car to reach us.
There are 4 main choices of lo-cost flights. All offer cheap flights from different airports.

Transfers:
We strongly recommend you hiring a car as then you can really take advantage of the massive ski network available to you on the Ski Amade pass.
We can arrange your transfers from Salzburg Airport using a local company for €40 per person.

By train:
Travelling to Radstadt by train is quite easy!
Once over the English Channel take a train from Calais to Kehl (Germany), then transfer from Kehl to Salzburg.
Then it is just a local train fare to Radstadt.
Fares from Calais to Salzburg are normally under £100 for 2nd class travel.
Although we haven't tried the journey itself, we can recommend purchasing your tickets through Internationalrail.com as it is quick and simple.

By car:
Below is a map from Salzburg to Radtsadt which is also suitable for transfers from the airport.
- Take the A1 towards Villach and the A10
-Take the A10 towards Villach
-After approximately 30 mins take Exit 63 towards Graz and Radstadt on the E651
-After approximately 5 mins take the filter into Radstadt
