From Roanna just a five minute walk through the sand dunes nature reserve brings you to a secluded stretch of beach another two minutes up the beach brings you to the main beach of the beautiful idyllic village where beach bars serve ice cold drinks and some of the best food in the world with sea food straight from the ocean. The ideal place to layback, chill out and watch beach life and the kite surfers.

Spend the morning ridding the great rushing waves of the mesmerizing blue ocean. Surfers are now finding that the beaches of Brazil provide ultimate rushes with waves that are not unlike there infamous Hawaiian counter parts. Extreme surfing is the sport of choice around these areas. Praia do Frances hosts many international surfing events throughout the year. Wind and kite surfing are also popular choices. Some of the greatest snorkeling and scuba diving in the world can also be found in Alagoas.
