A cosy hotel located in the town of Batalha, where some of our 15 rooms have a beautiful view over the Monastery Santa Maria da Vitoria, recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage and one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal.
The location of our hotel allows you, apart from enjoying the view, to walk to the monastery and its surrounding plazas, terraces and restaurants, as well as shopping in the regional stores in the town.
All rooms offer you a balcony, some of them overlooking the monastery and others the swimming-pool or garden and town mountains; private bathroom/shower; hair dryer; amenities; air-conditioning; cable tv; direct telephone; mini-fridge with free water; clock radio and free internet access. One of the rooms is prepared for guests with special needs.
Our hotel also offers private parking, bike facilities as we are Bike Friendly Hotel (outdoor parking, garage, small office with some tools, bike washing facilities as well as others), outdoor swimming-pool, small gymnasium, billiard table room, small outdoor playground for children, garden, internet and reading room, wireless in all areas and rooms and a living room near the pool where you can taste the homemade cakes and jams, served in our homemade breakfast. All of this included in your stay.

Casa do Outeiro is a non smoking hotel. It is not allowed to smoke in any areas or rooms of the hotel, so we ask our guest to respect this rule, using the room balcony and other exterior areas of the hotel.
Directions from the IC2 road
When exiting the IC2 road (previously called National 1 road / N1 road) to Batalha, you will immediately get to a roundabout where our blue sign for "Hotel Casa do Outeiro" is located. Please take the 3rd exit off that roundabout, following the hotel sign. The monastery will be on your left. Now take the first turning to the right (after Barclays bank and "Esquina" coffee shop) and go up a steep hill (if you get to a second roundabout you have gone too far). Our hotel is at the top of the second steep hill.
Directions from the A1 motorway - exit Leiria
Please follow the signs to Batalha or Lisbon/IC2
Directions from the A8 or A17 motorways - exit Leiria
Please exit in Leiria Sul (exit number 24 A) and follow the signs to Batalha or Lisbon/IC2
Directions from the A19 motorway
This is a recent motorway and most GPS systems can't detect it yet. It connects Leiria to Batalha (it costs 60 cents). In case you use this option, please exit in Batalha and follow the signs to (?) at the roundabouts that will take you to a IC2 crossroad. Batalha is well signposted.
Directions from the A1 motorway - exit Fátima
Please exit in Ourém/Fátima/Batalha (exit number 8). When arriving at the Fátima roundabout, please follow the signs to Batalha (via the 356 national road).
When arriving at Batalha, follow the sign with the name of the town and after the "Galp" petrol station you will see an entry to the hotel car park on your left side, immediately next to the Restaurant "Vinho em qualquer Circunstância"
