Wines Travel specializes in bespoke and behind-the-scenes lifestyle journeys through Burgundy and Piedmont (Barolo region). Acting as a travel concierge & consultant, we share our travel and wine related experiences with our international discerning clientele.

Whether you choose to create your personal private thematic trip or simply spend the day exploring the region at your own pace, Wines Travel will assist you in designing your travel experience from the perspective of a friendly local offering an insightful “back door” introduction to the area!

We take pride in providing our guests the utmost level of service and a hassle-free experience where each request is treated individually and created to fit your perfect travel adventure and expectations.

How does it work?

Simply put…

For the price of a flat upfront fee, we will sketch itineraries and work with you to tailor your perfect journey. You will benefit from our destination expertise as well as our extensive contact networks of very knowledgeable guides, world famous wineries, picturesque hotels, charming B&B, exclusive villa rental companies, Michelin Star and traditional restaurants. Our role is that of a consultant between you and the final service providers that you pay directly avoiding unnecessary charges from us such as international banking and exchange rate fees for instance.

Activity costs break down and adapted options to choose from will be offered to you to make sure your experience is complete: you will know exactly what to do and at what price. We will then send you a recap of your suggested trip with contact information and back-up options to face unforseen situations.

About the owner

Native of Burgundy, Yannick Treffot started customizing and guiding trips for a US clientele in 2005. He previously owned and managed a hotel restaurant for ten years near Beaune before stepping in the adventure travel world leading expeditions in Papua New Guinea and Venezuela. He worked as a tour coordinator for an American luxury biking tour operator in France, Duvine Adventures, and also has many years experience of following the Tour de France cycling event with international clients. Yannick lived in several countries and wine regions (Central Otago in New Zealand, Barossa Valley in Australia and Barolo in Piedmont). He lives now in Vancouver with his family.

Wines Travel collaborates with members of the Virtuoso travel network to offer guests one-of-a-kind travel experiences.
