Fox Hill is the perfect place if you're looking for some "adventures": you can hike (we'll be glad to provide maps and tell you about some of our favorite hikes by waterfalls and with awesome views), swim (in the rivers or our local pool), canoe/kayak (there are two local outfitters), horseback ride, skeet shoot, take a llama trek, go underground and tour a cave, take flight and go soaring...or just relax on our front porch and watch the clouds drift over the Blue Ridge Mountains.
For some tamer adventures, the beautiful historic town of Lexington is close by -- you can shop, dine, tour Stonewall Jackson's home and Lee Chapel & Museum and take a horse-drawn carriage ride or a ghost tour. Just a bit farther out in the county, you can sample wines and take a tour at Rockbridge Vineyards, Natural Bridge & Caverns is just 35 minutes south and the Safari Park is just by Natural Bridge and is well worth a visit.
Accommodations
Some of our guests spend all day here enjoying our 38 acres with walking trails (a favorite is down by our spring-fed stream with small cascading waterfall and deck tucked into the stream bank). Wine & cheese is great on the back porch, or chose a chair on the front porch and soak up views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

At Fox Hill, you can choose a room that's perfect for you. We have large b&b Suites with queen beds, private baths, Heat-n-Glo Fireplaces, WiFi, and Satellite TV/Music. For even more privacy and space, choose a Cottage Suite with separate bedroom, living room, fully-equipped kitchen and Satellite TV/Music.
Policies & Restrictions
We are pet friendly and welcome dogs (please see our website for complete details). Children are welcome in our Cottage Suites, which are especially family-friendly. Indoors we are non-smoking; smokers are welcome to do so outside.
