Opening!! new camping-village in Tulum!!!

Who we are:
Cenote Encantado (Enchanted Cenote) is a getaway to peace. Our initiative comes from establishing  a concept, and through the practice of different activities that compliment the environment. It is a concept that provides us with physical development as much as a mental and spiritual one.

For us being ecologically-inclined isn't just a trend, or some scheme to attract green-minded visitors.

We think that loving and protecting the environment is a way of life. For this same reason we find it a priority to share this consciousness to the furthest extent of our abilities; looking for people who can enlighten us with new elements and make this place a nucleus of relations and contacts, so visitors can go forward with a new alternative network.

Our tents:

Several  tents are available, equipped with beds, sheets, a rug, bedside table and electricity, a fan inside your tent is available for your comfort as well. We also have ambient music every afternoon.

The cenote (Lagoon)

The Cenote for us represents the spirit of this place, the feminine and lunar energy, the gateway to nature and mysticism. To have the opportunity to swim or row in the water of the cenote creates the maximum experience of peace and beauty and being in contact with the spiritual portal of the cenote and mother nature, and even at night with the entire universe.

The life that exists in the deepest of its waters creates for us a direct relation with the growing ecosystem that is full of aquatic magic.

The senses, body, mind and spirit become one, enveloping us with its healing waters, its musical sounds, and invisible that fills us with the most sublime visions of the ancient world and eternity.

Enchanted Cenote is made up of underground caves with more than 100 cenotes connected directly below us. This fresh water lagoon is about a acre and a half and its a perfect place to enjoy the peace found in this paradise called Tulum.

We have a raft, so we can enjoy the environment and snorkel without having many people around.

What includes our price:

* Camping Village
The cost per person per night is $160 pesos and these includes: the tent with doble bed or 2 singles, with sheets.
The use of the rafts for the Cenote, the use of the area for doing Yoga, Meditation, etc. and the access to the beach which is across the street.
We also have some bikes which you can borrow.

* Common kitchen:
We have a very equipped kitchen, and it includes:
Cooler,
Space for groceries,
Drinking water,
Oil, sugar, salt, species and condiments.

*Activities:
The Circle of chantings which we sometimes organize, are for free, but the Sweat Lodge (Temazcal) or different cleses that we can organize have extra fee.

Recommendation:
We recommend to by the food before coming to the camping, like this will not be necessary to go back to downtown to do so. We are like 15 min. away from downtown by car, we have a small store near, which you could go by bike, but only have basic things and sometimes closes early.
We also recommend to bring flashlight and mosquito repelent and sun block as well, biodegradable if posible, the same for your personal cleaning products.

Contact:
If you can contact us via mail or phone to tell us more less at what time you are planing to come.

How to get to our place:
From the airport, you take a bus to Playa del Carmen, and then change bus towards Tulum. When you get to Tulum bus station you can take a taxi. (aprox. $100 pesos) There is public transportation wich you could be able to use, but not with loggage.
What to say to the taxi driver:
You have to tell the taxi driver to take you to the Tulum Hotel Zone, towards the Sian Kaan reserve, we are like 15 min. away from downtown, you are going to pass many hotels, however we are 1 km. before the entrance of the reserve, if you get to a big arch stone, you already pass. You will see on your left side a sign called 'Rancho San Eric' and just in front on the right side of the road our sign: 'Cenote Encantado-1320'.
If you rent a car, just drive all the way to Tulum, you will pass Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras and Akumal. When you get to Tulum, you will get to a light, on your right side you will see a super market, 'San Francisco de Asis' there you turn left, towards Tulum Hotel Zone, Boca Paila Road, (not the piramids road) then when you hit the wall turn right, towards the Sian Kaan reserve, go all strait ahead until you see our sign on the right side of the road.
We recomended very much to rent a car if posible, (aprox. $30 Dollars per day) because there are many beautiful places in the sorroundings, we can help you with information about all the places you can visit.

Camping village:
This is an experimental project we´ve been working on with lot´s of love and patience.  What unites us is the willingness and power to share  our concept with those that show the same inclination to this way of life..
Our challenges are your challenges and we can take care of this sacred place together. This is an experimental project we´ve been working on with lot´s of love and patience.  What unites us is the willingness and power to share  our concept with those that show the same inclination to this way of life..
Our challenges are your challenges and we can take care of this sacred place together.
You can help us maintain the tiny but not insignificant flame of hope , love and Zen, and above all experience the feeling of a  real connection with all that is around us.

Truth be told, this isn't a business or materialistic oriented project. It is the opposite; it's the idea of being self-sufficient, learning about nature, spiritualism and living together.

Self sufficiency is the ability to live from the things that inspire you, that compliment new alternative life styles. It's called perma-culture, or art, or taking care of whatever place you love, healing, protecting the environment, education, ecological tourism, recycling, manual arts, etc.

A place made for…
...all people that come here with the idea of connecting to the mystery of  nature; those that want to learn ,  that want to help others experience it.
Those that know that there is an entire family, alive, invisible and moving, secret and transparent.
And all those that have been touched by the flames of sacred fire, empowered with vision,
Here, at Cenote Encatado  a gateway to peace, culture and communion awaits you.
