HI Hyannis, voted "Friendliest" and runner up for "Best HI Hostel in the WORLD" in 2010, is the newest of the Cape Cod hostel. Private rooms for two and four persons are available, as well as, coed dorms. There is a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your meals and dining area. Breakfast, wifi access and parking are all free. All bed linens and a bath towel are included in the overnight rate.
Only steps from downtown, the hostel's location could not be more ideal: across the street from the Hyannis ferry docks, steps to the free Hyannis trolley shuttle, less than a mile to the Hyannis bus station and within easy walking distance to museums, main street shops, beaches and other local historical, recreational and cultural attractions.
We suggest Google maps or Mapquest for mapping the journey. From all points off Cape Cod: Cross at the Sagamore Bridge. Continue on route 6 (Mid-Cape Highway) approximately 13 miles. Take exit 6 to MA-132 (Iyannough Rd) toward Barnstable/Hyannis. At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto Barnstable Rd. Barnstable Rd becomes Ocean St. The hostel will be about one mile from the traffic circle, on the right.
For bus service, take the Plymouth and Brockton Bus from South Station in Boston and get off at the Hyannis Transportation Center. From New York City and Providence RI, take the Peter Pan Bus to the Hyannis Transportation Center. Local bus service to the Transportation Center is also available from Falmouth/Woods Hole, Eastham/Orleans, and Truo/Provincetown.
It is a 0.8 mi walk from the Hyannis Transportation Center to the hostel (see map below). Or, catch the free Hyannis Trolley to the Ocean Street ferry docks(seasonal service only - check website for details) and walk across the street to the Hostel.
