After a short canoe ride on the Gatun river, you will learn about their culture, see their ceremonial dances and hand-made crafts, taste their native food: delicious fresh fish with fried platanos (smashed plantain bananas) or yuca served in palm leaves, explore the area's beautiful tropical vegetation with the medicine man showing us all the plants used to cure.
If you want, you can get your body painted as they do, with a natural fruit dye called Tagua...all of this in just one day!
Your visit to the Embera community will help them economically to preserve their culture and environment.
Our tours can be led in English, Italian, German & Spanish.
N.B. we also offer acommodation in the best areas of the city: condo in Amador (entrance of the Panama Canal), studio, 1 & 2 bedroom condos in Casco Viejo (colonial neighborhood - UNESCO World Heritage site) & a charming 2 bedroom B&B suite in down-town.
We can take care of your entire stay...from airport transfers, to tours & lodging!
