We are a three storey terraced town house built in the 1900's and located in a popular, residential area of Derry. Fairman house is an independent, family run hostel, offering an exceptionally high standard of accommodation at competitive prices. We welcome visitors from near and far, independent travellers or groups and we are confident that you will be delighted with the standard of our facilities and the convenience of our location.

From Belfast on A6 and Coleraine A2
Coming into Derry from Belfast on the A6 you will pass Altnalgelvin hospital on your right after which you will come to your first roundabout. Take the third exit onto the Crescent Link road (you will pass Tesco on your left) and continue straight ahead through the next two small roundabouts (passing Crescent Link Retail park on the right hand side) until you come to the large Caw roundabout. Take the third exit from the roundabout so that you go straight ahead across the Foyle Bridge. Also, from this roundabout you can also come from Coleraine on the A2 and take the fourth exit to go over the bridge as well. At the end of the bridge at the fifth roundabout, turn left onto the Culmore road and continue down the road (passing Da Vinci's Hotel on the left) to the final roundabout. Take the second exit so that you go straight ahead onto the Stand road (Harry Corry will be on the right hand side and McDonalds Drive Through on the left). At the traffic lights outside Sainsbury's, continue straight ahead to the next set of lights (Centra shop/petrol station will be on your right). Turn right up the Rock road (University of Ulster, Magee College is on your left) and at the end of the road turn left onto the Northland road. As you drive along you will pass Radio Foyle and then the Fire Station on the right hand side. After the fire station, take the third turn on the right for Academy Road (it's just before a pedestrian crossing). Continue up Academy road (hill) and Fairman Place is the last street on the left hand side. Fairman House is the first house on the right hand side of the street. You may park your car anywhere on the street.
From Dublin
Coming from Dublin on the A5 to Derry, you will come to the Craigavon Bridge. Take the bottom deck and at the end of the bridge turn right. You will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit on your left (Derry Visitors and Convention Bureau will be on your left and the River Foyle on your right). Go straight ahead to a set of traffic lights. Continue straight ahead through the lights (Ulsterbus Station will be on your left) then you will come to a second roundabout. Take the third exit on your left (City Hotel will be on your left and the river Foyle on your right) and go straight on to a pedestrian crossing. Just after the crossing traffic lights, turn left and go continue the short distance to another set of traffic lights. At the lights, go straight ahead onto Clarendon Street and up the hill to another set of traffic lights. Turn right onto the Northland road and just after the pedestrian crossing turn left onto Academy road. Continue up Academy road (hill) and Fairman Place is the last street on the left hand side. Fairman House is the first house on the right hand side of the street. You may park your car anywhere on the street.
From Letterkenny
Coming from Letterkenny on the N13 to Derry, at the end of the road you will come to a small roundabout at Bridgend. Take the second exit on your left and continue straight ahead until you come to a large roundabout (Whitehouse). Again, take the second exit so that you are going straight ahead (you will see Whitehouse retail park on your left) and continue until you come to another large roundabout (where you will see the B&Q DIY store ahead). Take the forth exit from the roundabout which takes you onto the Branch road. You will then come to a small roundabout, continue straight on so that you are on the Northland road. Keep going straight (you will pass St Springtown Industrial Estate then Mary's College on your left) until you come to a set of traffic lights. Continue straight on (You will see University of Ulster, Magee College in front of you). As you drive along the Northland road, you will pass Radio Foyle and then the Fire Station on the right hand side. After the fire station, take the third turn on the right for Academy Road (it's just before a pedestrian crossing).
