Casa de Arvore is situated on the top of one of the highest villages of Portugal, the historical village of Marvao, a very important touristic point of the natural park of Serra de S. Mamede, and 11 km from the Spanish border (Valencia de Alcantara and Cceres region).
The house has 5 nicely decorated double rooms with en-suite bathroom, central heating, TV, large windows and wood floor.
There is 2 spacious and comfortable living rooms, with TV, fireplace, c.d. player and book collection.
The one upstairs has a table for breakfast and an outdoor terrace overlooking the view, over the valley, mountains, water dam and everything eyes can reach at an altitude of 800 m.
The castle is 200 m away and panoramic gardens, restaurants, bar, handicraft shops, bank, post office are at a distance of some minutes walking. Guided tour to the village, a very nice horse ride through the country, bike rent, pedestrian tracks can be suggested and booked with our help. Castelo de Vide, also a historical village is 13 km away, Roman City of Ammaia, 6 km, Leisure Centre and swimming-pools 5 km. Portalegre with its famous tapestry museum is 20 km away, Spanish border 11 km.
