Umnak Island is a magical land of hot springs, mud pots and geysers all within sight of the incomparably rich Bering Sea. On this unique adventure we visit the most geothermally active area in Alaska and one of very few places in the world with active geysers. After traveling by boat from Dutch Harbor we set-up camp near on a wilderness beach and have a full week to enjoy the Aleutian's charms. The Aleutians are so rich in wildlife, natural beauty and human history that the hot water boiling to the surface and the long steaming beaches are only the icing on the cake.

From our comfortable base camp we are free to enjoy the island. We can ascend the volcanic ridges behind camp, head-off looking for Geothermal wonders or stay closer to camp and enjoy the beach combing, hot springs and fishing opportunities. "Home" cooked meals and the expertise of your guide/ naturalist make each and every day of the trip memorable.
