Note: Moderate fitness needed for the hike up to the Wolfberg Cracks, but less strenuous activities available for those not up to it. The hike up to the Cracks takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, and early morning start preferred in Summer.
The Rock Art trails and Stadsaal Caves are on flat ground easy to navigate.

Day One: We leave Cape Town at around 8 am and head via the Swartland Wheat fields to ClanWilliam for breakfast. Over the Pakhuis Pass we visit Several San Rock Art Sites on the Sevilla Rock Art trial then visit the Rooibos Tea Factory where you can learn about this wonderful plant.
In the afternoon you can relax at your chalet or take part in (free) additional activities, such as swimming, fishing, hiking, bird watching, or (at additional cost) canoe hire, sunset cruise, horse riding. You can also visit the Salmanslaagte Rock Art trail.
Day Two:
After breakfast we head deep into the isolated Cederberg. We Hike through the spectacular Wolfberg Cracks, and swim afterwards in the local natural pool. Late afternoon we visit the other-worldly tunnels and rock formations of the Stadsaal Caves, after sundowners (with complimentary wine and cooldrinks) we head back to Cape Town.

Type of Group: Nature Lovers with moderate fitness needed to hike up the Wolfberg Cracks, the rest of the sights are easily accessed. Children should be under parental supervision.

We stay in comfortable chalets, normally on the banks of the Olifants river, because of the number of optional activities offered.
However alternative accommodation is available, both near the Rock Art trails, as well as near the Wolfberg Cracks and Stadsaal Caves.
Note: During Weekends and South African Holidays accommodation can fill up quickly and options become limited

Breakfast and Dinner is provided, and snackssandwiches and water during the day. You will also be able to stock up on your favorite snacks in ClanWilliam.

As noted the Wolfberg Cracks can be challenging, you need to scramble over and under rocks in places, and moderate fitness is needed to hike up to the cracks. The rest of the sights are easy to access. Children should be under adult supervision.
