We are located about 10 minutes walk to the famous canterbury cathedral and the town centre , situated in a quiet residential area of canterbury.
Set in a beautiful 120 year old town house, we offer a wide range of budget accommodation from dormitory rooms to single and double/twin rooms, - suitable for both groups and individuals.

Kipps is within easy walking distance of the city centre, the main line railway and bus/coach stations. So come and pay us a visit in our world heritage historic city, and enjoy our comfortable, clean and homely hostel!
Kipps is an ideal centre from which to explore the kent countryside known as the garden of england. Parking is free on road with restrictions applying only from 1200hrs to 1600hrs on weekdays.
Seaside resorts of whitstable and herne bay are within easy cycling distance with regular bus services from canterbury. Further a field are dover castle, leeds castle and dover cross channel port for easy day trips to france.

Directions
FROM THE BUS STATION. National Express buses run from London Victoria coach station, Dover and other locations in the South East to Canterbury bus station. From Canterbury bus station, head west on St Georges Lane and turn left onto Watling Street . Use the underpass to Old Dover Road. (3rd exit) Walk along Old Dover Road ( you will see the Police Station on your right) Turn right onto Nunnery Fields at the traffic lights. Kipps is half-way up the hill on the left.
(Approx walk, 10 minutes or �4-6 for taxi)
FROM CANTERBURY EAST STATION. (This is the closest station to the hostel) Turn right out of station on Station Road E and look for the sign that says 'Hospital and Colleges' and follow the footpath (along Rhodaus Close). Walk over the railway bridge. (halfway up on your right)
At the end of the path turn left on to Oxford Road and then left again at Norman Road . At the top of Norman Road turn right into Nunnery Fields, We are just up the road on the left.
Walking Distance. Approx 9mins (Approx 5 minute walk or �5.00 for a taxi)
FROM CANTERBURY WEST STATION Turn right out of station, and then left onto St.Dunstan's Street. Walk through the West Gate Towers
Then walk to the end of the main high street to the bus station (St Georges Street). At the roundabout, take the underpass - 2nd exit onto Upper Bridge Turn left onto Dover Street, which leads onto Oaten Hill .
Walk Up Oaten Hill and cross the traffic lights leading onto Nunnery Fields. The hostel is halfway up on the left

The nearest station is Canterbury East, with trains running direct from London.
