Description

Built in 1900 as the HOTEL already housed guests at the time of the Emperor Franz Joseph who travelled to Vienna by train coming from the south of Europe for all sorts of reasons . One of the guests was Franz Kafka who met Milena here in 1917 ("Letters to Milena") . Today the Hotel Congress can also be comfortably reached by car using the motorway exit "Landstrasser Hauptstrasse" on the "G'rtel", direction 'S'dbahnhof . The parking lot is directly opposite the hotel . Although all rooms and facilities are technically up-to-date, the Jugendstil/Art Nouveau atmosphere has been preserved . All rooms are equipped with bath or shower, satellite TV, minibar and hairdryer . We offer a sumptuous breakfast buffet in our restaurant . Centrally located and directly opposite the "S'dbahnhof" (South Railway Station), it's only a short distance from Belvedere Palace and the underground . The State Opera is a mere 12 minutes' walk away .
