Plymouth Backpackers is housed in an 1840\'s Victorian townhouse just five minutes walk from the ferry port where boats leave for Roscoff, France and Santander, Spain. We are close to all amenities and a short stroll to the famous Barbican waterfront with its great mix of pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants, the Mayflower Steps and City Centre. We are a 10/15 minute walk from the bus/coach station and a 25 minute walk from the train station. Excursions to Dartmoor National Park, canoeing on the Tamar River, local boat trips, sailing and walking the coastal paths can be arranged from Plymouth. The theatre, sports/leisure centre, ice-skating rink and National Aquarium are all a short walk from the hostel.
We offer 4, 6 and 8 bedded shared rooms, plus2 double rooms. The price includes bedding and linen, unlimited showers, a 24-hour fully equipped self-catering kitchen with unlimited tea and coffee, a good sized social area and tv room and a small courtyard garden with barbeque area.

VERY IMPORTANT: ID required by both British and Overseas visitors to stay. (Driving licence, passport, country ID card, current student card - credit card NOT accepted as a form of ID unless it has a photograph on it!). Unaccompanied under 18\'s are not permitted to stay.
**Please note our Last Check-In is at 11pm as our reception closes at 11pm, and re-opens at 3.30pm. If you are arriving after this time you must contact us in advance so we can arrange for someone to be there to let you in.
Directions
From the train station walk up Salt Ash Road to North Croft roundabout. Turn right along Western Approach to Pavilions. Go past the Pavilions up The Crescent then turn right at the New Continental Hotel into Millbay Road. Walk past The Duke of Cornwall Hotel and turn left and walk up a short hill behind the Duke of Cornwall Hotel and we are on the right hand side.
Come out of the bus station and go past St Andrews Cross roundabout with the water fountain into Royal Parade. Follow Royal Parade until you come to the Theatre Royal on your left side, you are now at another roundabout called Derry's cross. Turn left at the Theatre Royal and you come to a street called Princess Way with the multi-storey car park on your left. Follow this street and you then come to Notte street, cross Notte Street and you will see a pub to your right called the Walrus. To the right of the Walrus there is a street called Athenaeum Street walk up this street until you come to a junction. Turn right and we are 50 metres on the left hand side.
