Casa Amarilla was designed with the backpacker in mind! Run by your fellow travellers, we pride ourselves on having a clean, safe, fun, laid-back and relaxing hostel without a strict set of rules.
Our location is one of the best in town - set off on a side street, we're away from all of the nightly and early morning noise while still just a few blocks away from the bars, restaurants and beaches of San Juan.
Whether you're enjoying a drink in the indoor garden atrium, cooking yourself dinner in our large, clean and fully-equipped kitchen or just chatting with people from around the world, you're going to love it here!
Your stay includes daily cleaning service, free fishing trips, free internet/Wi-Fi, cable TV, a book exchange, DVD library, free bag storage, kitchen usage, information and maps and no curfew. Don't forget about our in-house Nicaraguan chef, ready to cook you up an amazing dinner!
Our small size (we have 5 rooms) allows you to enjoy added security and individual attention while avoid the overwhelming feeling of large hostels; instead, you'll feel more at home here. You can also take advantage of the chance for you and your friends to rent the whole hostel and have your own personal house in San Juan!
You can also enjoy at the best prices in town: surfing lessons, rides to the beach, sailing tours, trips to see the turtles lay their eggs, fishing safaris, canopy tours, tours to colonial cities like Leon and Granada as well as trips to Ometepe Island and Zapatera plus volunteer options.
You can arrange for an airport pick-up which is the quickest and safest option to get into town. Or you can use public transportation.
From Managua Airport , take a Taxi cab for only $7, to drop you at Mercado Huembes and buses are comming to Rivas every hour, from Rivas you take a shared taxi cab for $2 dollars to San Juan del Sur.
In case you are coming from Costa Rican Border, you take a taxi cab for $10 dollars to San Juan del Sur.
