La Orotava is famous for its traditional houses (casa balcones), Canarian food, artists, folk-music and fiestas (flower-carpets).
It is an ideal starting-point for mountain-bikers, hiking- and climbing-tours, because the well known 'Canadas de Teide' are only 12 KM away, the Mount Teide itself you can reach by car or bus in less then one hour.
All house-mates share an inside- and outside-kitchen with barbecue possibility,a dining-room with SAT-TV, three bathrooms, three terraces with a smoker's-pavillon, and a huge garden for camping (up to six tents) between fruit-trees and biological vegetables. Yoga- or Meditation-Retreats can be practiced on our huge roof-terrace. In the house itself we offer three single rooms and three double rooms.
You reach La Orotava by bus in 80 min from the Airport-South (Nr.343) and in 20 min from the Northern airport (Nr. 107 or 108). From the bus-station you go towards 'Lycee de Tauro' and from there straight ahead, passing by la Plaza de la Constitucion, you will reach a little street called Calle San Augustin which leads directly into 'Calle Leon'. Here you turn left and go uphill and after 300m you'll find our house on the right side of the street, Calle Leon 34.
