Our Molino Vecchio (old mill in Italian) is a former water-mill, dating back to about 300 years ago. In 2001 it was completely restored and turned into a country house. On its left stands a small dwelling - formerly a barn - which can be enjoyed as a holiday home.
We live in a valley, at about 50 metres beneath the fortified village of Castiglioni; its old town can be reached by foot in just 15 minutes. In Castiglioni you will find a bar, two food shops, a hairdresser's, a post office and the local church. The village also offers a tennis-court, and a dance floor that serves as a basketball court and skating-rink.
The village is located nearby the Gola Della Rossa and Frasassi Reserve. This is the largest protected area in the Marches, where you can walk, cycle, ride and enjoy nature at its best.

Bookings are accepted for a minimum of 1 week.
Take Autostrada direction Ancona, exit Senigallia, direction Arcevia (SP 360).
When reaching kilometer stone 24.3 (distance from Senigallia) turn left towards Serra de Conti, Montecarotto (1st sign mentioning Castiglioni). This is the beginning of the village Osteria.
In Osteria the main road turns left within a right fold of the street. This is at the only intersection with lights of the town. Please stay straight at the intersection.
After 300 meters, right behind the Ristorante L'Infinito, turn left into a small street (2nd sign mentioning Castiglioni)
After about 500 m turn right in the roundabout on street SP 44.
After about 3 km the road will go upwoards to Castiglioni. In front of the village sign turn left, direction Castelplanio.
After 50 m (trash bin under the tree) turn right into the little sand road. The second house on the left hand side is ours.
