Welcome to Maryland! Come explore all that this great state has to offer, from the shores of the Chesapeake Bay to the bustling capitol city of Baltimore.
For a relaxing beach vacation, rent a beach house in Solomons along the Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the United States. Here you can enjoy the small beach towns and aquatic activities, such as sailing, swimming and boating! For a different outdoor adventure, bike along the eastern shores trails or explore the Patuxent wine trail in Calvert County, where you can stop at different wineries for tastings and informational tours. Be sure to stay in one of the many bed & breakfasts in wine country during your next Maryland vacation.
For those of you who love to golf, there are plenty of golf courses and golf resorts in central and southern Maryland. Are you a nature lover? Be sure to check out the famous Adkins Arboretum in Ridgely that spans 400 acres and hosts many native species. Bring the kids to the Irvine Nature Center for guided tours and hands on learning.
For a more urban experience head to the capitol city of Baltimore, where you will find many great hotels and resorts, restaurants, museums and theatres. Baltimore is a thriving hub of commerce and has a lively nightlife scene! During the day visit the National Aquarium or the Baltimore Museum of Art, or head to the AFI Silver Theatre for a fantastic live show!
In July check out Artscape, the nation’s largest free art festival and in the winter months head to the Wisp Resort for skiing and snowboarding. After visiting Baltimore, check out the state’s second largest city and historical treasure, Frederick. In Frederick you can go antique shopping, take a guided tour or stay in a historic inn.
No Maryland vacation is complete without a Chesapeake Bay crab feast, so be sure to stop at a local fish market and sample the delicious Maryland fare.
