Description of Surrounding Area

Albany is located in south central Wisconsin's Hidden Valley region, in beautiful Green County; just two hours or less from the Chicago, Milwaukee and Dubuque areas.
Albany is less than an hour from the House on the Rock, Mount Horeb, Dodgeville, Cambridge and Mineral Point; and less than 30 minutes from New Glarus, Madison & Monroe.
The Sugar River, which runs through Albany is excellent for canoeing; and canoe rentals are available locally.
Albany is midway on the Sugar River State Trail, and complementary bikes are available for traveling the trail's 21 miles.
Nearby are cheese factdories, a micro brewery, antique shops, golf courses and Amish and Swiss communities.

The Lewis Room: Awake to sunshine in the queen-size ornate wood poster bed. A loveseat in the bay window looks out on the same view enjoyed by the original owners of the home, whose master bedroom this was, and for whom the room is named. Relax and soak in the ball and claw foot tub which is yours alone in the large old-fashioned bathroom.
The Hearth Room: A five foot iron and brass head board tops the queen-size bed. Curl up on the comfortable loveseath which sits in front of the antique fireplace, and read a book; or just enjoy the view of the gardens framed by original window treatments from the turn of the century. Birdseye maple furniture, and a private bath with tub and shower complete this popular room.
The Albany Room: A queen-size, wrought iron canopy bed with hand crocheted fishnet top and lace drapes is the centerpiece of this room. View the village of Albany through the crocheted curtained windows, while relaxing on the loveseat and daydreaming of yesteryear. A vintage dressing table adds to the romance; and antique table and crystal lamps create the finishing touch. The private bath is complete with shower.
The Oak Hill Room: Almost six feet tall, the queen-size brass and iron bed sets the tone for this room. An antique curved front dresser and mirror from the turn of the century, and over stuffed chair invite you to relax. Overlook the gardens and the hill for which the manor house is named from your private heated, enclosed porch with wicker furniture and day bed. The room is complete with private bath.
