Active Adventure

The All-Inclusive plan includes horseback riding (2x daily), pool, hot tub, meals (3X daily), game room activities, unlimited soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverage (24 hrs), unlimited snacks and desserts (24 hrs), bike riding, and more. A large video selection is available at no charge for viewing in the TV room or in your own room. Our relaxed riding program allows guests to trail ride on their own if they choose. Horses are matched for novice and experienced riders alike, and lessons are available. Nearby activities, not included in rates, include something for everyone: golfing, fishing, boating, shopping, and a gun club.

Typical Day

Horseback riding is the featured activity at Southern Cross. Horseback rides are scheduled twice daily, 7 days a week. If you’re a beginner, don’t worry – riding lessons are available and horses are personally assigned based on your riding experience and preferences. We’ll supply all the equipment you’ll need to ride, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you choose. OUr relaxed riding program even allows guests the unique opportunity to ride on their own if they desire, but small guided groups are always available. You’ll be encouraged to groom and help tack the horses for a true hands-on and bonding experience. Whether you want to ride lazily across beautiful open pastures, or trot through lush wooded trails, Southern Cross Ranch can accommodate your needs. And if you feel up to the challenge, they offer an optional 9+ mile trail ride at nearby Hard Labor Creek State Park for an additional fee. If you are not a horseback rider, and don’t wish to start, there are non-riding plans with reduced rates to meet your needs.

Southern Cross Ranch is a great place for couples, singles, and families. Guests visit from all around the globe. Leave the rest of the world behind and spend some time in Georgia’s Historic Heartland reveling in bountiful meals, blissful seclusion, and relaxing, joyful evenings.

Sleeping and meals

Each room features at least a king-sized bed, private bath, TV, and VCR. Premium rooms feature whirlpool baths, fireplace, and large TV.

Restrictions

All guest rooms are non-smoking and children must be age 4 or older.
