Our Bed and breakfast Cottages are centrally located a few kilometers east of Ghent, in one of the most green areas in the Ghent periphery and are ideally situated for exploring Belgium. From our Bed and breakfast, you can visit the entire country in 3 - 4 days. Because we are close to the junction of several highways, and distances between attractions are short, it is easy to make quick day trips.We will be pleased to provide you with tourist information.

Within 100 km you can visit many other historical places: Waterloo, Liege, Bastogne (WW II), Passchendale (WW I) and Maastricht.
Within 300 km are cities and landscapes of Holland (Amsterdam, Rotterdam)

Rooms/Suites

The Blue Cottage (30 m2) sleeps max. 4 persons and is built with floors in antique tiles and Bourgondian flagstone. Walls are made of old Flemish brickstone, restored in the manner of medieval construction system and decoration forms. There is a cozy living corner with working fireplace (for romantic evenings) and couch, TV and DVD. The sleeping corner has comfortable twin beds, decorated in old prince style. The wardrobe is antique pine from Germany/Austria.
The Green Cottage is 35 m2 and sleeps max. 4 persons. All materials were selected with respect to the past construction: Old Flemish brick for the walls, roof in cedar wood, floors in flagstone with lines of marble.
The sleeping corner with original 'prince bed', decorated in old medieval style. On the pictures you'll see a cozy sitting corner with comfortable large couch near the fire place and a TV/dvd player. Enjoy the working fireplace (for romantic evenings) ...or simply to watch the flames and dream away of past times...
The cottage - with private entrance - has a luxury bathroom with toilet and shower. Central heating, telephone & broadband wireless internet are installed. A sun terrace with table and chairs gives access to a big park garden.

Directions

follow the sign boards :
Locate the city of Ghent on your Belgian road map, follow the highway to Antwerp (E17). After about 8 kilometers take Ring - R4 (between exit 10 and 11) Take direction Gent Zeehaven. Then first exit 4 Destelbergen. You come on the main road N445 Gent/Dendermonde. In front of you there is the sign bord to our B&B. Turn left. Drive 2 kilometers. On the right you will see a restaurant called 'La Fermette', and the B&B sign board. Follow the sign by turning into the Meersakkerstraat. Drive straight ahead over the bridge crossing the highway. You already see the watermeddows.. The Guest Cottage is on your left, Meerskant 18.
