Surrounding Area

White Rock is a seaside community offering many activities for visitors of all ages including a 2 mile walking promenade and historic pier. The "white rock" is located not far from the pier. Marine Drive offers many eateries from fish & chips to fine dining. Summer beach activites, kayaking year round and wind surfing in the winter are popular. There are 15 golf courses withing a 15 minute drive.

Accommodations

The Ocean Rose is situated on the hillside overlooking Semiahmoo Bay and the U.S. San Juan Islands and is across the street from the beach. Steps lead to Marine Drive and the promenade. The spacious, private, king size suite with ensuite bath has an ocean view. It also has a private entrance and patio. Features include a sitting area with TV/VCR, video library, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.

There is only one room offered. The Ocean Rose is a Tourism B.C. approved accommodation.

The suite has a private telephone as well as high speed internet access.

Full breakfast is provided and special dietary requests are gladly catered to.

Policies & Restrictions

The Ocean Rose is smoke free and adult oriented. As there is a cat in residence, guests' animals are not permitted. There are a number of stairs from the parking area to the Ocean Rose entrance.

Availibility is year round. Rates are CAD$120 plus $25 each additional person with off season rates applicable.

Other Information

Off street parking is provided and we are on the bus route to Vancouver. We are 10 minutes from the U.S. border and 35 minutes from the Vancouver Airport and ferries to Vancouver Island. Travel to downtown Vancouver takes about 45 minutes.

Directions

Take 8th Ave from Highway 99 either north or south and stay on it once it turns into Marine Drive. Go to the end of the beach to Magdelan Ave. and turn right (a very sharp turn) and right again to Sunset Drive which is at the end of the yellow barriers. The Ocean Rose is on your right with a sign over the garage.
