Our Shire is called "Eurobodalla" which is an Aboriginal name for: "Land of many Waters". This is true - we have many magnificent white sandy beaches, rivers creeks and lakes, but also pristine forests and shrouded mountains. Studded with tall timbered National parks and heritage wilderness areas, Eurobodalla's historic villages speak of daring pioneers and goldrush hopefulls. It's thriving artistic community produces works of originality and beauty. There are wineries, cheese factories, berry farms and some of the best seafood along the East Coast of Australia.
There are trips to heritage Montague island to watch the Fairy Penguins, Seal colonies, playful Dolphins and migrating whales (July - November). We have also some of the best Golf courses of the South. There is a wealth of Aboriginal history. And... you can still find GOLD....
