The Abineau Lodge was built in 1997. The Lodge is wood sided and features lots of interior woodwork reclaimed from various buildings torn down around the country including the original Sears catalogue building in Chicago and a cotton gin in Alabama. Surrounded by Ponderosa pines and mountain meadows the Lodge borders acres of public lands and sits on its own 4 acre parcel. The property is the site of an old dairy farm, one of the original homesteads in the area, and still hosts a log cabin built around the turn of last century.
All 9 rooms have private baths and lodge style furniture. Each room has a unique western lodge theme. All rooms except the family suite accommodate no more than 2 people. One room is wheelchair accessible. The suite has two rooms with a king bed in one and a queen couch sleeper in the other.
