Active Adventure

Canada's leading mountain bike tour company since 1996, Sacred Rides offers cross-country and downhill tours, women's skills camps, and many more adventures in British Columbia, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Croatia, Utah and New Zealand. Tours are geared toward intermediate and advanced riders - our specialty is one- and two-week tours! Locally owned and operated, and run by passionate mountain bikers, Sacred Rides has been rated the "#1 mountain bike adventure company in the world" by National Geographic Adventure in 2009!

Typical Day

Wake up around 9:00 at a secluded lodge surrounded by spectacular Rocky Mountain scenery and enjoy a breakfast of pancakes with fresh strawberries and fruit salad. The morning ride consists of a 15-km singletrack loop through the woods. After a full trailside lunch (the van will be waiting for us with fresh pasta salad, sandwiches and fruit juices), we'll head out for another full afternoon of epic alpine singletrack. When we return to our lodge, we'll enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by some evening swimming and relaxing in the hot tub.

Age range, type of group

Ages range from 16-60, with the average client being between the ages of 28 and 40. Lots of couples and quite a few singles, as well.

Sleeping and meals

we use lodges specially chosen for their locations near mountain biking areas, and other amenities such as hot tubs and bike rooms.

one-week tours from $1495. Two-week tours from $2095. Weekend packages from $295

Other Information

airport pickup in Calgary is available for a fee. Peru and Chile trips include internal flights
