Located on the Western Slope of Colorado, Montrose provides a gateway to a multitude of national forests, parks and recreation areas. Consider exploring the newly designated Black Canyon National Park, fishing a variety of lakes or streams, biking local paths or quiet country roads, returning to yesteryear in the Victorian towns of Ouray (37 mi.) and Telluride (65 mi.), plunging into Ouray Hot Springs Pool, hiking or snowshoeing in the San Juan Mountains and across the Grand Mesa (largest flattop mountain), exploring the Ute Indian musuem, or finding treasures at local antique stores.
Located less than 2 miles from the restaurants and shops of downtown Montrose, Annie's offers a quiet country location in a comfortably elegant setting. Furnishings include beds reminiscent of earlier days accentuated with antiques and comfortable rocking chairs. Relax by the fireplace in the parlor, in the sunny reading room, or watching the sunset from the shaded porch facing the Grand Mesa. Spend a few moments soothing muscles in the hot tub (robes provided) or lingering among the stately old trees. You might catch sight of neighborhood owls or hummingbirds.
Annie's offers three unique rooms, all with plush, private baths. Down comforters and feather beds are the norm during the cooler months. The Fireplace Room is the perfect setting for a romantic retreat, set off by an elegant hand-forged iron bed frame, and a decorative fireplace in a sitting area that hosts a cozy love seat and rocker. The Owl's Room features a sleigh-style bed, a sitting area with views of the San Juan Mountains, and a luxurious soaking tub in its bath. The Tiffany Room also features a hand-forged queen bed, with an extra-wide soaking tub in its large bath.
Guests can enjoy a hot tub offering great views of the typically star-filled nights.
