Our historic building circa 1859, is two story with the nine rooms on the upper floor and the restaurant and saloon on the lower level. All rooms are mostly original in appearance, except for the addition of bathrooms to all rooms. Hotel rooms are equipped with modern heating and air conditioning and are quite well insulated for sound. The exterior of the hotel is redwood shiplap siding, constructed from aged redwood heart. The balconey is an exact reproduction and was mostly constructed in a redwood mill near the town of Mendocino.
You will love our nine award-winn
ing restored rooms, each with wonderful brass beds, patchwork quilts, lace curtains, fresh flowers and all with private bath. Each room is charmingly authentic individually appointed, and includes most of the original furnishings, not to mention FLO, our longtime resident ghost. A soaking room (our 1850's version of the spa - 2 person tub with brass feet & fixtures) with all the amenities is also provided for our guests convenience. You will start your day with a sumptuous buffet breakfast served at a time to please you. Homemade breads, fresh fruit, sliced melons, assorted cereals, juices, hardboiled eggs, toast, jellies, fresh brewed coffees, teas, and the morning newspapers.
Dining in our acclaimed restaurant is a gourmet's delight. We have a "three star rating" and whether you desire a romantic and relaxing dinner for two, champagne brunch, or an appetizer or two, prepare yourself for a pampered experience. Relax in our garden courtyard or the casual elegance of our dining rooms. We also handle banquets, wedding receptions, meetings, seminars, and small conferences. Our award-winning wine list features wines from this foothill region, and of course, the original saloon still serves one's favorite cocktail or espresso whether with or without alcohol. We also have a large number of singlemalt scotches. Our warm and friendly staff will tend to you needs.
We offer room service from our restaurant and may include any meal that the customer may desire. Also, one may take cocktails or a bottle of wine to their room, or enjoy them on the balconey. House guests are welcome to relax in our saloon or in either dining room or the patio garden. Many choose to read quietly in our patio while sipping on a wonderful alcohol or non-alcohol beverage from our saloon. We also have an assortment of games and puzzles for the pleasure of our guests.
