In the heart of the Abel Tasman National Park, New Zealand's smallest national park, renowned for its golden sand beaches and bushclad lagoons. Great bushwalks to other beaches, rivers and lagoons. Take a water taxi up to the Tonga Island Marine Reserve and see a seal colony, and you may see dolphins and penguins along the way. Seakayaking, go swimming with the seals or relax on the deck and enjoy the sea views.
Lodge is built on split levels with decks off both main levels.
Open plan kitchen/dining area with split levels above to the lounge. Lodge built in 1993, lawson cypress exterior with aluminium joinery. House not connected to main electricity lines, so solar panels for the lighting, gas appliances, generator used for pumping water which comes from a spring over one kilometre away.
