Active Adventure

Full service fly in fishing lodge during the summer with all 5 species of pacific salmon, Rainbow, Grayling & Northern Pike. Guided & outfitted spin or fly fishing, river rafting trips, wildlife viewing, kayaking, flightseeing. Winter activities include snowmobiling, cross country skiing, dog sled rides and IditarodSled Dog Race Watch. Northwoods Lodge is located 65 airmiles NW of Anchorage. Enjoy a wood fired sauna, good hearty gourmet meals, and cozy cabins to lay your head at night. Catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights if you can stay up that late. During the month of February you can enjoy watching the local snowmobile races and March is the Iditarod Sled Dog Race.

Typical Day

Freshwater fishing in rivers and streams teaming with all 5 species of Pacific Salmon as well as rainbow trout, arctic grayling and northern pike. Boat or bank fishing, spin and fly fishing. Guide takes you to where the fish are every day. White Water rafting trips from 4-5 days. Fish & Float the rivers of Alaska. Fully guided and outfitted. Kayaking, canoeing and hiking trail at the lodge.
Winter recreation includes snowmobiling (we do not provide) ice fishing, cross country skiing, northern lights, wood fired sauna, dog sled rides.

Age range, type of group

Individual cabins for our guests. Deluxe cabin includes queen size bed, full bath, living room with large deck overlooking Fish Lakes. Double Deluxe cabin includes 2 single beds in both rooms with a shared full bath. Standard cabins include 1 full size bed and 3 single beds, table & chairs, view of Fish Lakes, and full bath house a short distance from cabin.

Price includes 8 hours guided fishing per day, rod, reel, tackle, hip boots, meals, lodging, fish cleaning, packing of fish and air transportation to and from Anchorage.
