Active Adventure
One of the most spectacular rivers in the East, the Penobscot begins at Ripogenus Gorge and drops over 70 feet per mile through a narrow, granite walled canyon into Class V Exterminator and the Cribwork. The excitement continues as you travel 14 miles through a series of steep drops and calmer sections on your descent under the shadow of Mount Katahdin, Maine's highest peak. For intermediate to expert rafters.
