Active Adventure
Quiet country lanes, stunning scenery, and friendly locals await you upon arriving in West Ireland, knowledgeable guides, high quality bicycles (Cannondale hybrids), luggage transfer and van support all make sure that your vacation runs smoothly, leaving you only to worry about where to sip the next pint of Guinness.
Allowing for as much flexibility as possible the self-guided tours can be started any weekday you like. Guided tours are restricted to starting on certain Saturdays throughout the season. Each days cycling on both type of tours consists of various suggested routes, and you can choose from shorter and longer options. Average mileage is around 25 miles, but options of up to 60 miles per day are possible to provide rewarding cycling for all enthusiasm levels. The area is neither flat, nor is it too hilly, the occasional ascend and descend make for interest in your cycling routine, and with 21 speeds to choose from on your bicycle there is no need to push. On guided tours the support van will never be far, and should you wish you can always take a lift.

Typical Day
Breakfast is very important in Ireland, and you will be spoilt with cooked breakfast in whatever level of accommodation you are staying. Having devoured bacon, eggs, sausages, brown bread and toasts, cereals and fruit you are ready for your days cycle. On the guided tours your guide will be handing you maps and explain all the attractions along the various routes, he/she will be happy to answer your questions anytime really. On self-guided tours your very detailed route booklet will tell you all about the various options for the day. Plan your route for the day, but leave enough room for ad-hoc excursions along the way. Departure time is entirely left to yourself.

Along the routes there are various attractions to visit and sites which ask just for that photo, so plan frequent stops. We will have given you recommended lunch stops and the support van will have waited for you every so often to see that everything is ok. If and where you like lunch is up to you.
Arrival time at the next accommodation is generally late afternoon, early evening to leave you time for a shower and relaxation before dinner. Depending on the village and town you are visiting there are pubs maybe even with traditional Irish music inviting you to an after dinner tipple and entertainment.
