The Vulcan Lodge is ideally situated for airport access, and is within very easy walking-distance (200 meters) of the town centre. Yet the Lodge itself sits within one third of an acre of beautifully manicured grounds, and gives the impression of being amidst the beautiful Surrey countryside.
Vulcan Lodge is a charming period house dating from the end of the seventeenth century.
It went through a major expansion in the late nineteen hundreds, when it was converted from a farm house to a substantial family dwelling house. It has been established as a guest house for more than a decade, and is regarded as one of the premier establishments in the vicinity of Gatwick Airport ... some 1.4 miles ... 2 kilometres away … a £4.00 taxi fare.
Each bedroom is individually decorated and offers a range of thoughtful extras, such as Colour Television, Alarm Clock-Radio, Tea & Coffee Making Facilities, Bottled Mineral Water, et cetera.
A delightful lounge, featuring a television and entertainment centre, is set aside for the exclusive use of our guests. A wide selection of audio and video CDs is available, at no charge, upon request.
Of course, the entire house benefit from central heating. However, in the cooler months our guests frequently request the log-fire in the Residents' Lounge to be lit ... just for the enjoyment of the warm ambience on a winter's evening.
Parking facilities are available for our residents. We can also look after the vehicles of our Guests who are leaving the Country for short periods.
