The Great House Hotel
is situated on the Market Place of medieval village of Lavenham. Overlooking the Market Cross, the National Trust Guildhall Museum and next door to the Little Hall Museum, most of the bedrooms have a beautiful view over the village. Lavenham is a delight to walk around. Visit the magnificent 'Wool Church', wander around the little streets with their shops, crooked houses, antiques, art galleries ...Right in the middle of East Anglia, this is the ideal location.
Built in the 14th and 15th centuries by the Caustons family, The Great House had its imposing Georgian facade added in the 18th century to keep up with the times. Converted into a restaurant by the present owners in 1985, the bedrooms were opened in 1986. On the ground floor, the restaurant welcomes you. The bedrooms are on the first floor and second floor.

1 King double bedroom + bathroom
1 Standard double bedroom + bathroom
Except the last bedroom, all the others have either sitting room or sitting area, all furnished with antiques, TV, telephone and Tea and Coffee facilities...
The restaurant offers a light lunch menu and daily changing dinner menu as well as the A La Carte. The cuisine is Country-French as the owners are French. It is always recommended to reserve your table as the restaurant can be busy at times.The patio is a delight - weather permiting. Lunches and Dinners are served out all Summer.
We have room service during our normal restaurant open hours.

2011 SPECIAL LEISURE BREAK AT GBP112.50 per person, per night including Dinner, bed and full English breakfasts sharing a King sized double bedroom - Tuesdays to Thursday inclusive. £450 for 2 nights for 2 persons.
Cancellation Policy:GBP25 deposit per night will be charged on your credit card if you cancel your reservation.If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, we shall charge the room price of each night if we cannot re-allocate your bedroom.
When driving in the High Street, turn left (coming from North -Bury St Edmunds) or right (coming from South-East) into Market Lane at the corner of Newsagent shop. We are on the Market Place, just behind the Cross.
