Active Adventure
Sacred Journeys will take you to a peaceful, serene place to teach you to relax, rejuenate, and learn what Native American's know of our Mother Earth. We will teach how to make fire without matches, build debri huts, track animals, read the topography of the land in our Survival and Backpack Tours. In our Sacred Circles and Vision Quests we will teach you how to obtain wholeness, happiness, and peacefulness in your everyday lives through sacred these sacred ceremonies.
Typical Day
We will rise to a gourmet breakfast and begin our time with Mother Earth walking gently on her skin. We will teach the ancient oral traditional way of hands showing each person the wonders of all of our Earth. Each participant will have hands on involvement with each process.
We will end our day with another gourmet meal and sing, dance, and have stories around the campfire.
Age range, type of group
Our typical tours consist of adults aging from 26-72, 60% women/40% men. On our Backpacking Tours and our Survival Tours we have the majority of families with ages of children from 6-15.
Our Vision Quest range from ages of 25-65 and 60%men/40%women with limited camping experience.
Our Sacred Circle are divided into all women and all men on separate tours. The ages range from 17-70. We do have a great many mother's and daughters as well as father's and sons for this powerful ceremony.
Our
hiking tours have been 90% women ranging from age 35-59. These hikes are designed for the beginner to moderate hiker.
Sleeping and meals
On our Sacred Circles, Vision Quests, Heart Focus, Survival Training, and
hiking Tours we are camping on the skin of our Mother Earth. We do offer hotel options on our Heart Focus Training and some of our Hiking Tours. We offer camp gourmet meals on all camping tours, and gourmet meals on our Heart Focus Training.
On our Switzerland Hiking Tour, each person will have their own beautifully furnished house in the high Alps to call home for the two week tour. Each home has a fantastic view of the magical Swiss Alps. You will be in a small hamlet becoming a part of the culture learning the ease and joy of the Swiss. We will take day hikes each day and return to our homes at night. Each person can either cook in their house or eat our in local restaurants as you wish. At the end of our tour, you will be treated to a traditional Swiss meal with music and dancing.
