Colonial Lodge Motel

Colonial Lodge is located ion the shores of Lake Taupo New Zealand We are a short stroll along the Lakefront to the Main Shopping Centre and Food Outlets. All attractions are within a few minutes driving distance.

Plan you stay in the Tablelands of New Zealand by staying at Colonial.and enjoying all the Local Activities, Kayaking, Swimming, Sailing, Bungy Jumping, Parasailing, Golf, Trekking or relaxing in the Hot Springs. The plan your trips to other towns and main sites which are 1 to 2 hours drive away. Orakei Korako 45 minutes, Rotorua 1 Hour, Napier 1.5 Hours, Waitomo Glow Worm Caves 2 Hours, Mt Ruapehu Trekking and Ski Fields 1 Hour, Tongariro Crossing 1 Hour plus more. Base yourself in Taupo and not Pack up each day and move on. A relaxing Holiday is assured.

Each Spa Studio and One Bedroom have separate Bathrooms with Spas and separate showers. Configurations vary but 1 Queen bed and 1 Single bed are the main Studios and Queen bed and 2 Singles are in the 1 Bedroom Apartments. Family Apartments consist of 2 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms and are limited.. We also have a limited qty of Family Spa Studios (Sleep up to 6) in 2 studios and 2 Bathrooms.

All Apartments and Studios have functional kitchens.

We have parking for Cars and Station Wagon but are not a Caravan or Trailer Park nor do we cater for large Farm Vehicles, Boat/Bike Trailers or Extended Vehicles. There is plenty of safe parking opposite the Motel for those types of vehicles.

We are a No Smoking Property and other than Service Pets we cannot accept Animals. We are a Gay Friendly property.
